OUR STORY

The Salt Yard family was born out of founders Sanja Moll and Simon Mullins’ experiences and love of eating and drinking throughout Spain and Italy.

A bar stool in Seville for a glass of cold sherry and a plate of glisteningly fresh squid;  a trattoria in Bologna for a shared dish of oozing pumpkin tortellini with sage butter; a board of cheeses with honey and a large glass of Barolo in Milan;  a long trawl around the windy streets of  San Sebastian for sautéed wild mushrooms at one place and crispy morcilla croquetas at another, with a txakoli or two along the way. Our aim was to transfer all these experiences to the streets of London whilst adding in a generous splash of warm hospitality.

Salt Yard Group is now led by Georgina Laing alongside Sanja. We celebrate all things Spanish and Italian with our food and our wine lists, run engaging culinary events throughout the year and host numerous private parties. We work closely with local charities as well as with the Sustainable Restaurant Association.

 Our restaurants are places to stop by for a glass of fizz or a delectable bottle of wine; a board of hand-carved Jamón Ibérico or a feast; and most importantly to come for a good time.
