Celebrate Carnevale at Veneta this February

Celebrate Carnevale at Veneta this February

The Carnevale di Venezia is perhaps the most decadent party in the world. While we’d like nothing better than to unleash our inner (and indeed, outer) Casanova by the banks of the Grand Canal, chores such as going to work/looking after the kids mean most of us will be spending Carnevale in England..

However, there is hope in the shape of Veneta’s Carnevale Weekend which runs from Friday February 17th to Sunday 19th.

Head Chef Jamie Thickett has created some delicious dishes for the event, including:

Wild Atlantic Prawns Baked in Herb Crust with Shellfish Aioli and Tomato

Squid Ink Bigoli with Crab, Radicchio Pesto and Pepper Dressing

Milk-fed Veal Escalope with Salsa Verde and Turnip Tops

Blood Orange Semifreddo with Pistachio Meringue and Orange Curd

Fresh Frittelle with Saffron Custard, Chocolate and Rhubarb Jam

As well as Jamie’s food, there’ll be a specially themed cocktail, and the staff will be wearing naughty Venetian masks. Who knows what could happen?
